About the Owners

Co-owner Val Erpelding is a Certified Executive Chef who worked at exclusive private clubs for over 20 years, then as food and beverage director for an island resort off the California coast. Along the way he picked up a skill that’s a rarity in the Denver market: ice sculpting. (Party planners, take note: Erpelding does corporate logos, sushi trays, “luges” for chilling shots of hard liquor, and more).

His wife and co-owner, Carolyn Kinsella, is a gifted floral designer with 20 years’ experience. She ran a very successful flower shop in the Denver Technology Center for years, where her vibrant arrangements featuring tropical and European flowers earned her a high-profile and extremely loyal clientele. Now Flower Wraps’ customers can order custom arrangements or pick a fresh pre-made bouquet from the walk-in cooler at the center of the store.

Erpelding’s passion for food is evident throughout the menu, from the high-quality ingredients to the delicious combinations of flavors and textures. With its Canadian Brie and Ancho Chili Jam, this isn’t your father’s ham and cheese! It may be a coincidence that Flower Wraps is located between Washington Park and Platt Park, but its perfect intersection of gourmet ingredients and tantalizing presentation are not just a happy accident.
